Finishing Cord Jewelry

You can finish cord ends in two different ways. Both ways use coiled end cap wire wraps on the end of the cord, which can be found here. Our new Genya cord or leather cord works nicely.

If you need to finish it quick and easy, simply thread the end of the cord up into the wire wrap. Crimp the very end of the wire wrap down on the cord. (figure 1) This will hold it in place sufficiently.

If you would like a more professional look, take your pliers and gently bend the last coil in the loop at regular intervals until the wire wrap tightens securely around the cord. When inserting coil, use glue to insure the end will stay securely. (figure 2)
