Jump Rings - Connect Two Loops

A jump ring (found here)is a small wire circle or oval with a split that you can twist open or closed. To open a jump ring, use one pair of pliers to grasp the wire at the opening. Grasp the other opening end with another pair of pliers. Pull one pliers toward you and push the other away to separate the ends of the wire out of the plane of the loop (figure 1). Avoid over-twisting the jumpring as this will fatigue the metal. Use a simple twisting motion. Close the loop by reversing the process back into the plane. Never spread the loop side to side.
