Meet Evangeline Enoah!
Inspired by generations of family tradition, Navajo silversmith Evangeline Enoah creates handcrafted jewelry that blends timeless techniques with her own contemporary style. Through every piece, she celebrates craftsmanship, culture, and the beauty found in every individual.
Evangeline Enoah is a Navajo silversmith residing in Thoreau, New Mexico. She began creating jewelry eight years ago full time, building on a family tradition of silversmithing and developing her skills into the beautiful work she creates today. Born in Shiprock, New Mexico, Evangeline spent several years living in Fruitland before later moving to Yah-ta-hey, New Mexico.
One of the things that makes Evangeline's work especially inspiring is that she is a self-taught silversmith. Through dedication and creativity, she has developing intricate stamp work, sand casting, leather work, including stone setting and stringing.
Outside of the jewelry studio, Evangeline enjoys staying active. She loves running, biking, riffle/compound bow hunting, basketball, softball and has also participated in horse shows and rodeos.
A fun fact about Evangeline is that during 1989–1990, she held two queen titles in the same year: Miss NNRCA Queen and Miss McKinley Rodeo Queen. Also ran in the Junior Cross Country Olympics at Anaheim, California in1989.
In addition to her artistic talents, Evangeline had work in the educational, health, agriculture, and animal science field. And she enjoys family time and motivating/encouraging people.
Working primarily with sterling silver, natural stones, and shells, Evangeline creates both traditional and contemporary Native American jewelry. She is especially recognized for her beautiful floral and cluster designs, which showcase her attention to detail and appreciation for classic Navajo artistry while incorporating her own unique style.
Her collection includes flower jewelry sets, pendants, bracelets, earrings, custom rings, single-stone rings, naja pendants, and concho belts. Evangeline enjoys incorporating a variety of silversmithing techniques into her work, including intricate stamp work, sand casting, stone setting, stringing, and leatherwork.
For more than eight years, Evangeline has remained committed to refining her skills and challenging herself to learn something new with every piece she creates. Her greatest inspiration has always been her family. She began by handcrafting jewelry as meaningful gifts for family members and friends, and that passion naturally evolved into creating pieces that reflected her own artistic vision and style. Today, she is grateful for the opportunity to share her work with others and remains deeply thankful for the talent and blessings that have guided her journey.
One of Evangeline's most recognizable creations is her signature flower design. To her, the flower symbolizes a powerful message: that every person is beautiful in their own unique way, that everyone possesses greatness within themselves, and that we are all equal in God's eyes. This meaningful philosophy is reflected throughout her work, making each piece more than jewelry, it becomes a reminder of beauty, faith, and individuality.
