Instructions:

  1. Scratch the item on a test stone.
  2. Make a parallel scratch using a .999 silver test needle.
  3. Apply one drop of Red Silver Test Solution to both scratches.
  4. Compare the reaction colors.

Results:

  • Bright Red: .999 Fine Silver
  • Dark Red: .925 Sterling Silver
  • Brown: .800 Silver
  • Green: .500 Silver

Note: For best results, use with a silver test stone and .999 silver test needle.
